Lighting Up the 5,000: The Candle Sand Challenge

Hey, we’re not making this about any religion, and we definitely don’t want to offend anyone, quite the opposite, actually! But if you’ve heard the story of feeding the multitudes with five loaves of bread and two fish, we couldn’t help but think of how much magic you can create with a 3kg bucket of candle sand. Let’s call it “Lighting up the 5,000.”

Now, we know it’s not quite the same, and not as miraculous as the story in the Bible, but we think it’s pretty close to magical in its own way. What do you think?

We recently challenged ourselves to see just how many unique candles we could make from a single 3kg bucket of our candle sand, and now it’s your turn to take on the challenge!

The Challenge:

1. Get Creative: Think outside the box, or should we say, outside the vessel? Use anything and everything from kitchen sinks to vintage teapots. Feeling adventurous? How about an old boot (shoey-inspired, anyone?) or that dusty vase in the attic?

2. Count and Share: How many candles can you craft? We want to see your creations! Tag @chameleonsandcandle on Instagram and use the hashtag #CandleSandChallenge to share your results with us.

3. Inspire Others: Your creative ideas might just spark a wave of inspiration across our community. Let’s see who can come up with the most unique and interesting candle vessel!
